Jimmy Butler’s Blunt 9-Word Warning To Celtics After Heat Win
Jimmy Butler’s Blunt 9-Word Warning To Celtics After Heat Win
Jimmy Butler proved once again this week why he is one of the best players in the NBA today.
With the season on the line and his Miami Heat down 3-2 to the Boston Celtics in their Eastern Conference Finals series, Butler exploded for 47 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead his squad to a 111-103 victory.
The win ensured that there would be a Game 7.
Afterward, Butler matter-of-factly revealed that there was no doubt in his mind heading into Friday night that Miami would prevail.
“We knew we were going to win this one,” he said.
And then he dropped the hammer on the Celtics with a 9-word warning that will no doubt loom large heading into Sunday.
“And we’re going to win the next one too,” Butler pledged.
At this point, you can’t put anything past him. He has been a man possessed throughout various points of this series. And while it’s always tough to bet on a squad who is so dependent on its star going off the way Butler has, that’s also precisely how the Milwaukee Bucks won a championship last year.
This has been a very intense series on all fronts. Boston players have been accused of purposely trying to injure Butler with dirty plays. Al Horford’s sister has randomly injected herself into the mix. It has been wild.
And tensions are very clearly rising.
That’s quite the workout. https://t.co/ZmhkF3qERb
