Dirk Nowitzki Pens Emotional Response To Kobe’s Death
Dirk Nowitzki penned an emotional response to Kobe’s death.
In a post specifically written for “Mamba,” Nowitzki noted that Bryant was a deep inspiration to “so many around the world, including me.”
In the same breath, Nowitzki also expressed his deep sympathies for Bryant’s family.

“This is hitting me really hard,” he wrote.
“You will always be missed. You will always be remembered. You will always be loved.
“Rest in peace with your angel Gigi.”
Bryant and Nowitzki’s careers overlapped and they faced off against each other on multiple occasions.
The only time they ever faced each other in the playoffs was in 2011, where the Dallas Mavericks swept the Los Angeles Lakers.
That series essentially marked the end of Bryant’s time as a championship contender.
Bryant, 41, died in a helicopter crash on Sunday that claimed his life, that of his 13-year-old daughter Gianna’s, and seven others.
