Charles Barkley Explains Why Phoenix Suns Are Losers
The Phoenix Suns came into the 2023-24 NBA season as one of the teams most folks expected to see contend for a championship.
Thus far, they haven’t looked much like a title contender, though.
Phoenix is 47-33 on the year and sits 7th in the Western Conference.
Recently, NBA broadcaster Charles Barkley was asked if he felt like the Suns might get their act together.
“No, they’re not gonna figure it out,” Barkley said.
“… They don’t have any mental toughness, the leaders are not leading. So, you’re not gonna turn it on this late in the season. So, I’m not sure what you’re expecting but their mental toughness, they’re weak mentally and it’s not gonna go good for them.”

“Oh, that’s on them, brother,” Barkley replied when pressed on how Phoenix could right the ship.
“But from afar, they just really soft… the players have not led.”
Will the Suns be able to go on a run to close out the year and prove Barkley wrong? Time will tell.
