What James Harden Did Instead Of Attending Joel Embiid’s Wedding

What James Harden Did Instead Of Attending Joel Embiid’s Wedding

Joel Embiid got married this weekend to his longtime girlfriend, Anne de Paula.

She has been a huge hit among NBA fans over her wild photos for years now, so everyone was very happy for the newly-wed couple.

Many of Embiid’s Philadelphia 76ers teammates were in attendance at the wedding, with one notable exception: James Harden.

Why did Harden opt to skip the proceedings? He chose to attend another event instead.

The same day Embiid’s wedding photos and videos hit the web, a clip featuring Harden partying and eating burgers with Bun B similarly went viral.

Harden clearly also wasn’t present in any of the imagery from Embiid’s wedding.

NBA fans are a vocal bunch, and they had some strong reactions to Harden’s decision to skip Embiid’s wedding.

“Bro don’t care about winning send ‘em back Houston,” one person wrote of Harden.

“Embiid didn’t show up for the playoff series either, so I think it’s fair,” a second fan fired back.

Harden has made his position on the Sixers clear. He wants out.

The former league MVP has also made it similarly apparent where he wants to go: the Los Angeles Clippers.

Unfortunately, the Clippers’ refusal to include two role players in any potential trade for Harden has proven to be roadblock.

The situation in Philly seems to be growing increasingly turbulent.

That said, the Sixers proved with the Ben Simmons saga that they are more than willing to wait out a disgruntled superstar in order to get their demands for said player met.

Is that what will happen with Harden here? Time will tell.

Either way, there doesn’t seem to be a ton of love between Embiid and Harden. Where will their relationship go from here? An answer one way or the other will emerge soon enough.
