Montrezl Harrell’s Troubling Twitter Post Goes Viral (Video)
Montrezl Harrell wears his heart on his sleeve. Earlier this year, while the season was still going, he sent out an extremely troubling social media post that many regarded as a cry for help.
Ultimately nothing ever came of it, but it was a bit disturbing nevertheless.
In the immediate aftermath, Harrell experienced a flood of support from various sources.
This week, it happened again.
On Saturday night, he posted this message:
Don’t feel bad for me I don’t speak on what I’m going thru for sympathy. I do it just to get it out my brain…..

Obviously, that message is eerily similar to the one Harrell sent out in March.
Reactions to Saturday’s message were primarily supportive:
Dame and Portland w Chauncey might be a good spot. Only thing is it’s cloudy but it’s quiet and there’s trees. I’m a Laker fan, so I want you back in Staples, but they didn’t use the best PnR big in the NBA when AD was out. I’m still waiting the LeBron Trez PnR next year

Loved when you gave 💯 every night the Lakers show. It would be nice to run it back but handle your biz and family first.

So what does all of it mean? It’s tough to say.
Part of the issue may be Harrell’s precarious status with the Los Angeles Lakers. Last year he averaged 13.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in the regular season, before completely getting cut out of the rotation in the playoffs. He ended up playing in just four of the Lakers’ six games against the Phoenix Suns, averaging less than 10 minutes per outing.

Harrell’s lack of playing time prompted him to lash out on social media, before ultimately casting serious doubt on whether he’d return to LA next year.
The Lakers may undergo a massive facelift this summer. There is chatter of a Russell Westbrook trade, and that could lead to certain pieces getting dealt in the process.
Will Harrell ultimately be one of those pieces? Time will tell.
