Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive’s daughter, Anjali, became a prominent fixture in NBA circles this year.
Amid the Kings’ impressive rise to respectability throughout the 2022-23 season, Anjali’s role in her dad’s affairs led to her stock rising as well.
This week, Anjali became a part of G-League history when she was named the Stockton Kings’ new GM alongside new head coach Lindsey Harding.
It marked the first time two women would lead an affiliate team in the G-League.
Anjali took to social media to commemorate the occasion.
This isn’t the first time Anjali has generated headlines this fashion. During the Kings’ playoff run, her wild photos caused something of a stir online.
Moreover, her social media content always proves to be a huge hit.

It is quite telling that, in a week where a Kings cheerleader’s provocative pictures nearly melted the internet, Anjali still found a way to steal the show. Not even Anna Horford’s wild video message could steal her shine.
Big picture, it will be interesting to see how Anjali fares in her new position. Cleary Vivek is trying to groom her to have a larger role in matters pertaining to the Kings.
And given the franchise’s epic turnaround under Mike Brown in 2022-23, that job could prove to be a lot of fun in the coming years.
As things presently stand, the Kings are one of six frontrunners for Kyle Kuzma’s services.

Whether the Ranadive family makes getting him a priority or not remains to be seen. But the mere fact that they are in the running for him, when in the past Sacramento couldn’t pull notable free agent to save their lives, is a telling sign of the franchise’s improving credibility across the board.
Anjali is very clearly a star on the rise. What role will she ultimately have in the Kings’ front office in the coming years? Time will tell.
