An FAU cheerleader found a way to go viral on Saturday night despite her team’s disappointing loss to San Diego State.

Prior to tip off, representatives from all four schools participating in the 2023 Final Four were invited to participate in the National Anthem ceremony.

One in particular stood out: Maddie from Florida Atlantic.

Understandably, after that performance, Maddie’s personal Instagram immediately blew up. She currently has nearly 2,500 followers after her impressive showing.

A lot of her posts are setting the internet ablaze on Sunday morning.

This has become something of an ongoing trend throughout the 2023 tourney. Between the South Carolina cheerleader who blew up online after Caitlin Clark’s big Final showing and the Iowa dancer who melted the web with her wild photos, there have been countless examples of it.

Big picture, obviously FAU would have preferred a slot in the NCAA Championship Game over one of the program’s cheerleaders going viral, but there’s no shame in making the Final Four either.

Florida Atlantic’s run was one for the ages and will bolster the school’s reputation for many years to come.

You can’t put a price on the sort of attention they received throughout this year’s March Madness run.

Will FAU be able to come back next season and prove that this season’s campaign was no fluke? Time will tell.
