Lakers Finalize Plan For Bronny’s First Regular Season Game

Bronny James was the Los Angeles Lakers’ second-round draft pick in 2024, but he has received more attention thus far than any other pick in the draft.

While Bronny’s highlights from his preseason games speak for themselves, and although they have elicited a pretty strong reaction from Kwame Brown, they haven’t tempered expectations for his first game of the season at all.

This week, Shams Charania revealed the Lakers’ plan for Bronny’s first regular season game.

“We’re gonna be seeing history very, very soon,” Charania said. “The expectation around the Lakers is that their debut together — the first father-son duo in NBA history to play at the same time in a game — will be as soon as soon as opening night, Oct. 22 against the Minnesota Timberwolves at home at Crypto.com arena, from everything I’m told. That is the plan. That is the hope.”

It goes without saying that LeBron and Bronny will make history during their first regular season game.

What will the pair actually be able to accomplish after that, though? Time will tell.
