Robinson has been one of the most valuable role players in basketball when healthy. He is a rim protector, a screen setter, and one of the best offensive rebounders in the league. The catch has always been the “when healthy” part. He has dealt with injuries throughout his career.
Boston made an aggressive push. After trading Jaylen Brown to Philadelphia, the Celtics needed to reshape their roster. Landing Robinson gives them a defensive anchor at the five and helps offset the loss of Brown’s two-way impact on the wing.
