The saga between Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington and the mother of his new baby, Brittany Renner, has taken a strange new turn.
Washington and Renner have been in the news over the past few weeks after breaking up following the birth of their child. Social media activity by the former Kentucky standout has suggested that he felt like he was used by Renner for the purposes of financial security.
This was the now-deleted tweet that launched all the speculation:
Renner is a fitness model who has been romantically linked to James Harden, Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Jamal Murray, Ben Simmons, Trey Songz, Chris Brown and Colin Kaepernick in the past. She also frequently used to post about how many celebrities and athletes she’d slept with.
Many have suggested that Renner ‘groomed’ Washington by showing up to his games at Kentucky when he was 18 and she was significantly older. She certainly wouldn’t be the first woman to do something of that sort, if it were true.

After the pair split, jokes started to fly around about how Washington was on the hook paying Renner for 18 years now. Somehow, a rumor began to circulate that he needed to pay $200K per month in child support.
This week, Renner responded to that particular claim.

So it would appear that the $200K accusation, at least, is not factual. Renner is not coming away with that sum from Washington – at least not yet.
Based on how this story has progressed since the start of this pair’s relationship to now, it’s safe to assume we’ll be hearing a lot more about it in the coming weeks and months.
