Gregg Popovich Selling San Antonio Home, Leaving Spurs?
Gregg Popovich has become the subject of much speculation after the San Antonio Spurs missed the playoffs for the first time in more than two decades.
An unfortunate milestone, it reminded many that an organization known for being a perpetual championship contender was on the verge of a long, long rebuild.
Popovich, 71, has no interest in retiring – but he also isn’t the man you want at the helm of a lengthy overhaul.
The Brooklyn Nets have made it abundantly clear that they want Popovich as their next head coach. Whether or not that actually comes to fruition remains to be seen.

On Wednesday, internet sleuths uncovered something interesting: Popovich’s four bedroom, five bathroom Texas mansion was officially on the market.
“Perfectly designed for a lifestyle that embraces both intimate moments and grand-scale entertaining,” the listing reads.
“Enter through the secondary gate for Vineyard Estates within the guard gated Dominion exemplifying privacy and secluded with spectacular panoramic vistas. Step inside this exquisite custom built Don Craighead estate and be greeted by walls of floor to ceiling windows allowing for natural lighting to flood the interior, affording ample opportunity to relish in the gem’s extraordinary appointments.”
The house is listed at just over $3 million.
To be clear, Popovich could be selling his home for any one of a number of different reasons.
But given the rumors that have been running rampant as of late, Spurs fans would be excused if they were a little bit on edge as a result of this news.
