Damian Lillard’s Low-Key Warning To Tyrese Haliburton For Mocking Him

Damian Lillard’s Low-Key Warning To Tyrese Haliburton For Mocking Him

Tyrese Haliburton’s Indiana Pacers upset Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks this past week during their NBA In-Season Tournament match-up.

One of the standout moments from this game involved Haliburton mocking Lillard with his own ‘Dame Time’ celebration:

After the outing, Lillard addressed the moment.

“For as many times as I’ve done it to people,” he said.

“I can’t be upset when somebody else does it. I think that’s also a sign of respect and acknowledgment for knowing my history and knowing what I do. I didn’t mind it, it was what it was.”

Lillard didn’t stop there, though. He then decided to offer a word of caution to Haliburton for mocking him.

“I’ve also known that when you’re having your moment, it’s important to be careful and be humble… because you just never know how the table turns and when it’s gonna turn,” he continued.

“I respect it. We shook hands after the game. I wasn’t moved by it left or right.”

Lillard obviously has bigger fish to fry than a youngster mocking him with his own celebration.

The Bucks are trying to gel after their big roster shake-up over the summer – and Lillard getting into a rhythm with his new squad is a big part of that

In addition, he is also dealing with a very messy divorce off the court.

With all of that going on, Lillard obviously doesn’t have time to be worrying about Haliburton.

That said, it will be very interesting to see what Lillard’s mentality is when he and Haliburton face off next.
