Austin Reaves has had a quiet offseason. One year removed from a summer where he secured himself a four-year, $52 million contract extension, the 26-year-old has been keeping a mostly low profile.
Yes, Reaves briefly landed in the news cycle for his brutally honest comments about Bronny James and keeping it real on his relationship with LeBron James – but by and large he has been largely quiet over the last few months.
This week, that changed.

Barber is no stranger to blowing up online. Between her provocative photos and intimate racy pictures leaking out, she has become something of a mainstay in the news cycle.
This is just the latest example of that.
Many believed that coming off his new deal, Reaves might turn into the Lakers’ third best player last year. That didn’t really happen. He was solid, sure, but not as impactful as many fans initially thought he might be.
It will be interesting to see what version of Reaves returns for the 2024-25 NBA season.
