Jordan Clarkson is one of the NBA’s most reliable role players, and his value among decision-makers in league circles appears to be on the rise.
In a situation similar to Kyle Kuzma’s trade availability and the four squads fighting over him ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, a bevy of suitors seem to be lining up for Clarkson’s services.
So far in 2023-24 Clarkson is averaging 17.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. That assists total is a career-best for him, really showing how much he has diversified his game over the years.
That said, given that the Utah Jazz are 15-19 and eager to blow up the roster as part of the team’s rebuilding efforts, there is really no place for him on the team anymore.

According to odds makers, four teams have emerged as the frontrunners for his services: the Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.
The defending champs seem like a logical place for Clarkson given his offensive prowess and scoring explosiveness. He could easily come off the bench for them and give them a big boost with the second unit.
Indiana makes a ton of sense, too. Rick Carlisle’s preferred style of play is well-suited to Clarkson’s chosen way of playing. And given how the Pacers’ offense seems to lag a bit whenever their star point guard sits, it might be nice to have someone like Clarkson boosting the second unit when he is out.

The Warriors desperately need a shot in the arm offensively. They are so bad right now that even Stephen Curry is slumping. Clarkson would help them greatly from a scoring standpoint.
Finally, don’t sleep on the Lakers. L.A. needs to make some big changes ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline. The only question is whether Clarkson is impactful enough to resolve all the issues that Los Angeles has at the moment.
One way or another, it is increasingly looking like Clarkson isn’t long for Utah. Where will the Jazz trade him when it is all said and done? Time will tell.
