Yagmur Asik’s Alleged $1.2M Plot To Kill Emre Asik Fails Badly
The wife of a renowned star stands accused of orchestrating a botched plan to have her husband killed.
According to reports, Yagmur Asik is charged with hiring a $1.2 million hitman to take out her husband, Emre Asik.
Emre is a well-known international soccer player who was a center for numerous clubs in the Turkish Süper Lig — including Galatasaray.
Yagmur married Emre back in 2012 and had three children with him.
Along the way, Yagmur reportedly began having an affair with another man. When Emre discovered this, the 46-year-old started filing for divorce.
According to the Turkish paper Hurriyet, in response to her husband’s actions, Yagmur allegedly tried to have him killed.

Yagmur stands accused of initially attempting to have her lover Erdi Sungur carry out the hit, according to documents from the public prosecutor’s office.
“I had an affair with Yagmur,” Sungur said.
“She was only thinking of inheriting the fortune after Emre Asık’s death. She asked me to kill him, but I refused.”
When that did not work, she reportedly turned to the hitman. Or, more specifically, she allegedly had Sungur contact him.
According to the court documents, Yagmur both provided the weapon for the murder and attempted to aid in finding a way to dispose of Emre’s body.
Somewhere along the way, the hired killer is said to have changed his mind and revealed everything to Emre.
