Rockies Made Final Nolan Arenado Trade Decision
The Rockies made a final Nolan Arenado trade decision this week.
Over the course of the offseason, rumors have run rampant that Colorado would move Arenado sooner rather than later.
The third baseman was linked to potential trades with the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves.
Now it appears all that has come to a halt.
In a recent interview, Colorado general manager Jeff Bridich indicated that there was no deal imminent.

“With the season coming up and spring training on the horizon, we are going to start focusing on that,” he said.
“We have listened to teams regarding Nolan and really nothing has come of it.
“We are going to move forward pretty much as we expected, with Nolan in the purple and black and as our third baseman.
“So we can put this to bed and collectively look forward to the upcoming season and work toward that.”
At one point earlier this month the odds of Arenado getting traded were described as 50-50. Apparently that is no longer the case.
Arenado is owed $234 million, which makes his contract a bit more difficult to shed than most.
That said, he is unquestionably also one of the best players in major league baseball.
Last year, he recorded 41 homers and 118 RBIs on .315 batting with a .962 OPS.
