Paige Spiranac’s Blunt Message Regarding Barry Bonds (Photos)
Barry Bonds was denied entry into the MLB Hall of Fame this week in his 10th and final year on the ballot.
Despite being baseball’s home run king, voters deemed Bonds ineligible for Cooperstown admission due to his extremely checkered performance-enhancing drug (PED) past.
Bonds ultimately received 66 percent of the vote, failing to reach the 75 percent necessary

One person who wasn’t onboard with Bonds’ exclusion from the Hall of Fame? Golf influencer Paige Spiranac.
Spiranac offered her thoughts in a concise tweet this week:
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Barry Bonds should be in the Hall of Fame

It’s hard to argue with Spiranac’s assessment. Bonds finished his career with 762 home runs and 1996 RBIs on a .298 batting average. He was also a seven-time league MVP, 14-time All-Star and 12-time Silver Slugger. By any objective measure, he put up Hall of Fame numbers.
Was his career tarnished by PEDs? Sure. But David Ortiz still made the Hall of Fame this year, despite testing positive for PEDs. So what’s the rationale here?
That being said, Spiranac jumping into the fray on this controversial debate is unsurprising. Despite being a golf influencer, she has been offering a lot of hot general sports takes recently. Her 3-word message on Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills game quickly went viral. Additionally, she completely destroyed the Dallas Cowboys last weekend with a blistering 16-word message. Before that it was her brutally honest 5-word take on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and just her general feelings on the AFC North that blew up.
Interestingly enough, this most recent general sports analysis turn is fairly new for Spiranac. Prior to it she was primarily in the news for stuff like her outrageous photos, lewd Halloween wardrobes or polarizing dissertation on men staring at her boobs.

All that being said, Spiranac has a knack for being able to take the temperature of the room. And whether it’s her Bonds take or her assessment of NFL happenings, she’s mostly just saying what everybody else is thinking.
