New Details About Wander Franco’s Alleged ’14-Year-Old’ Friend
Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco found himself trending this week over a series of troubling social media posts.
It all began when one in particular claimed that he was about to be exposed by his alleged 14-year-old girlfriend for a romantic relationship.
The post suggested that a failed attempt to get hush money from Franco was the reason the news was breaking.

On Sunday, both the Rays and Major League Baseball (the MLB) announced that they were looking into the situation.
“Franco did not travel on the team plane to San Francisco, where the Rays will start a series with the [San Francisco] Giants tomorrow,” Jeff Passan of ESPN reported.
“The Rays earlier said MLB is doing ‘due diligence’ concerning social media posts from earlier today about Franco.”
Passan also confirmed that the league’s officials have gotten involved.
“MLB is looking into the social media posts and has yet to verify the information,” he noted.
“This early in the process, without confirmed facts, Franco could be placed on the restricted list or administrative leave. The Rays, when asked about Franco not being on the plane, declined comment.”
Early Monday morning, social media posts began to circulate with new rumors about the alleged 14-year-old involved.

According to the alleged victim’s Instagram (loredana_chevalier) she has multiple posts with her baby. She also has a post driving a car/having alcohol in possession. To drive a car and drink in the Dominican Republic you have to be 18.

It is worth remembering, everything that has come out about this matter — from all sides — has been online rumor and conjecture. Nothing has been confirmed anywhere, and all social media posts are just that — social media posts. Nothing more, nothing less.
This has been a relatively jovial and lighthearted last few days in the sports world.
Stories like a Green Bay Packers fan wearing a cheese bra and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders’ unique actions before a preseason game were the major viral headlines of the week.
This is obviously a much uglier situation. One almost on par with Dillon Danis posting photos of Logan Paul’s fiancée with no clothes on – though at least that one can be justified as something that was going on in the no holds barred world of celebrity boxing.

Baseball is America’s pastime, though.
And this story, in particular, is really troubling.
Hopefully in the coming days and weeks the truth about what happened with Franco come out and at that point all wronged parties involved get the justice they deserve.
