James Paxton Struggles For Yankees, Gets Mocked On Twitter
James Paxton had a rough go on Sunday for the New York Yankees, and he was promptly mocked for it on Twitter.
Paxton, also known as “The Big Maple,” faced off against the Boston Red Sox this weekend. Because all Yankees vs Red Sox outings are viewed as must-see TV, there were a lot of eyeballs on the game.
That was bad news for the 31-year-old former Kentucky Wildcats standout.
Paxton has nothing out there. It seems every time the Red Sox swing and miss Paxton is surprised/relieved.

Sure Aaron Hicks needs to make that play to start the inning, but James Paxton man what are we doing here? I think I trust JA Happ more than him at this point.
Call up Clarke Schmidt tomorrow morning.

James Paxton has thrown 62 pitches through 3 innings — 34 four-seamers. He’s had 8 swings and misses total, only 3 on his FB. You probably don’t need me to tell you that’s a much lower rate than usual.

So is Paxton just not recovered from the back surgery or what’s going on here

Heading into Sunday, the Yankees have dominated this most recent series. New York walked away with a 5-1 victory on Friday and a 5-2 win on Saturday.
Through three innings of Sunday’s outing, the Yankees and Red Sox are dead-locked at 5 heading into the fourth inning.
