LaMelo Ball Reveals What Jay-Z Really Said To Him (Video)

Last week the Charlotte Hornets squared off against the Brooklyn Nets.

Even though Charlotte was able to pull off an impressive 111-95 victory, the team’s strong showing wasn’t what stole the headlines.

Rather, what everyone couldn’t stop talking about after the fact was a conversation held between team star LaMelo Ball and rap legend Jay-Z.

Video of the encounter quickly went viral.

The clip captured so much attention that Ball was forced to come out and comment on it in a conversation with Malika Andrews of ESPN.

“I was just saying, ‘We have a game after this and we’re going home,'” Ball said. “And he was just saying, ‘Where’s it at?’ And it was in Charlotte. That’s how it went.”

It’s easy to see why folks would be concerned about Jay-Z possibly recruiting Ball. The youngster is a legit star, and it’s rare for a small market like Charlotte to land one of those.

Fortunately, it looks like Ball is very happy with the Hornets. He is bringing his lady to games, putting out extremely popular shoes, and enjoying the sort of relationship with team owner Michael Jordan that few have ever had.

Could he leave Charlotte eventually? Sure, anything is possible. But at the moment, he appears pretty satisfied with his situation.
