Kevin Garnett is one of the greatest NBA players of all time. As a former champion and league MVP, his track record is beyond reproach.
While his temperament is something of an acquired taste, there is no denying that Garnett has done enough and experienced enough to offer extremely legitimate opinions on the sport of basketball.
Which makes what he said this week all the more intriguing.
During a recent episode of KG Certified, Garnett went into great length about one particular young star he absolutely loves watching.
“You know, who I love watching? The Hornets,” he said.
Specifically, Garnett loves LaMelo Ball.
“Man, I’ve followed LaMelo through the whole YouTube half-court and all the other stuff. He’s probably one of my favorites, him and Cole Anthony,” he continued.
“LaMelo has kind of an old-school, he moves the ball and has a high IQ. He’s got the old-school feel to him. He has a bunch of magic in him.”

There’s a reason why, two years into his NBA career, he already has free reign to call out his own head coach. He’s that special.
Stay tuned. As Garnett noted, LaMelo is going to be an incredible star to watch for many years to come.
