Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler has always marched to the beat of his own drum.
This is a man who started his own coffee enterprise during the NBA Bubble, after all.
In that vein, it’s unsurprising that he likes to take risks. And that is precisely what he did recently when he decided to get himself some really long hair.
This week, he debuted his new hairstyle for the whole world to see:

Again, Butler has always been something of a unique character. Between the rumors about him and Rachel Nichols and his longstanding beef with a couple of Serbian thugs, he has never had trouble generating headlines.
Big picture, hair drama aside, Butler and the Heat are gearing up for a massive 2022-23 NBA season. They came within a game of making the Finals last year and clearly want to right that wrong this time around.
Miami is one of three teams in serious contention for Blake Griffin’s services and one of two squads in serious contention for Dennis Schroder’s services, but obviously Kevin Durant is their big offseason target.

Time will tell if they can get him. If they don’t, they already have a Plan B in place.
Butler and the Heat came very close to contending for a championship in 2022-23.
Will they be able to right that wrong this time around?
Time will tell.
