Jerry Jones’ Interesting Reaction To Trump Getting COVID

Late Thursday night President Donald Trump announced that he and First Lady Melania Trump had come down with COVID-19.

It was a stunning revelation that sent shockwaves throughout the United States.

Athletes across the NBA responded immediately. At least one NFL star offered up a questionable reply.

On Friday, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones weighed in.

“I want to express my sensitivity and concern for the President,” he said on 105.3 The Fan.

“Knowing him, he’s the hardest worker you’ve ever seen. Knowing him, he’ll be able to go right on through this and hopefully not miss a beat.”

Despite President Trump’s diagnosis, Jones plans to continue pushing forward with the plan to have fans in the stands.

“We’ll approach 25,000, if it’s not 25,000, out here Sunday at our ball game,” he maintained.

“That will lead the NFL in attendance when we do that. And we’ve done that, in mind, very safe and very prudent.”

President Trump announced his positive COVID-19 result late Thursday night via Twitter.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” he wrote.

The First Lady then sent out her own statement.

“As too many Americans have done this year, @POTUS & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19,” she tweeted out.

“We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.”

President Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean P. Conley, came out shortly thereafter and announced that President Trump and the First Lady were “both well at this time.”

“This evening I received confirmation that both President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the SARS-coV-2- virus,” he said.

“The President and First Lady are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.

“The White House medical team and I will maintain a vigilant watch, and I appreciate the support provided by some of our country’s greatest medical professionals and institutions.”

Vice President Mike Pence, second lady Karen Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin have all tested negative.

Joe and Jill Biden, who were in close proximity to President Trump at this week’s Presidential Debate, have also tested negative.

As of Friday morning no further details regarding the President’s status have been made available. Presumably updates will come at various stages throughout the day.
