Jayson Tatum’s Girlfriend Goes Viral During Celtics Game (Photos)

Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics were dealt a pretty rough hand heading into their Eastern Conference Finals showdown against the Miami Heat.

When you are facing off versus arguably the best remaining team in the playoffs, you need to be at full strength. And yet just hours before Game 1, it was announced that Al Horford and Marcus Smart would be unable to suit up on Tuesday night.

In that spirit, Boston’s 118-107 defeat in the opening game of the series was relatively unsurprising.

That said, it was a rough night for Tatum. And considering the year he has had, that’s saying something. After getting off to a decent start, he proceeded to struggle in the second half and ended up unable to lead his squad to victory.

Interestingly enough, his on-the-court play wasn’t the only thing that landed Tatum in the headlines on Tuesday evening. His purported girlfriend, Bella Harris, also started to trend.

According to SideAction.com, the couple is trying to keep things on the low at the moment.

“Bella in no way wants to be that NBA girlfriend says our source. Tatum is also a very private person and has no interest in being in the tabloids,” the report noted.

Harris boasts more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and routinely goes viral for posts like this:

It will be interesting to see where both this relationship and the Celtics’ playoff fortunes go from here.

If Smart returns for Game 2, it would fix a lot of what ailed Boston in Game 1. That said – the team will still need more consistency out of Tatum. He scored just eight of his 29 points in the second half, which he admitted after the game was unacceptable.

“I’ll take the blame for that,” he said. “I’ve got to lead better. I’ve got to play better. Especially in those moments.”

The series is only one game in and there is still plenty of time to right the ship. Things looked far worse for Boston in their semifinals series against the Milwaukee Bucks than they do now – and they still won that one. Plus, given the civil wars that erupted in the locker room over the course of the 2021-22 season, and all the beefs, it’s incredible that the Celtics are even at this point right now.

But play time is over.

The Celtics have to get serious – ASAP.

Can Tatum turn into the player everyone ultimately know he has the potential to be? Time will tell. And his team’s fortunes this year will ultimately depend on the answer to that question.
