The Detroit Lions earned a memorable 29-27 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. In doing so, the team secured its first win of the 2021 NFL season.
Part of the reason why this outing proved to be so memorable was the finish.
Embattled Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who has struggled all year, led his team 75 yards down the field with no timeouts after Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins threw a go-ahead 3-yard touchdown score to wide receiver Justin Jefferson with less than two minutes to go in the game.
In the end, Goff punctuated a memorable drive with a tight 11-yard pass to wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown as time expired.
Goff ended the day with 296 yards, three touchdowns and one pick on 25 of 41 passing.
After the game, Goff’s model girlfriend Christen Harper happened to be in the middle of a photo shoot when she got the news of what happened.

Big picture, the Lions are now 1-10-1 on the season. Is that anything to write home about? Obviously not. Does it erase all the bad memories from this season? Definitely not.
