Ja Morant’s ‘We Ain’t Ducking No Smoke’ Nike shoes caused something of a stir this week.
At this point, everyone knows that the Memphis Grizzlies star has had something of a turbulent year. Between dancers making some troubling accusations against him and the photos of him chugging tequila at the club, he has been in the headlines quite a bit.
Amid it all, there were some very serious questions regarding whether Nike would opt to stick by him. Particularly given how they opted to handle Kyrie Irving.
It appears as though Nike isn’t just standing by Morant, they are doubling down on their investment in him.
This week, Nike dropped the ‘We Ain’t Ducking No Smoke’ version of his shoes.

The larger NBA community has always been an extremely vocal one when it comes to pretty much anything.
This proved to be no exception.

Be it for his sister’s wild videos, his deep ‘personal’ issues or his special lady friends, Morant is a lightning rod when it comes to attention.
NBA fans can’t get enough of him whether they love him or hate him.

What will that mean for his shoe sales?
Time will tell.
