Brittany Mahomes stole the spotlight back from Taylor Swift this week when she posted photos of her latest outfit to social media.
Understandably, NFL fans went crazy this week when Swift decided to attend Sunday’s showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears.
Because Swift is arguably the biggest musical star in the world right now, and in light of the Chiefs-Bears game being wholly uncompetitive, most of the headlines about the outing surrounded her attendance. Even Brittany’s own husband, Patrick, couldn’t stop gushing over her.
That meant Brittany, who is usually the main off-the-field star of Kansas City’s games, was pretty much ignored.
On Monday, Mrs. Mahomes moved to change that. She took to social media and shared her latest outfit with fans. That immediately stole the spotlight away from Swift and put it squarely on Brittany.
“While the world was watching for Taylor, I was waiting to see what fabulous outfits you and the kids were wearing,” one fan wrote.
“Love it,” a second fan chimed in.
“Brittany is a real one,” a third fan agreed.
In an NFL weekend that saw a Seattle Seahawks cheerleader’s wild photos leak out and Pam Oliver’s troubling appearance cause a stir, it is telling that Brittany so effortlessly swooped in and stole the headlines.
She is just that level of mega-star, even when you throw Swift into the mix.
Big picture, it is obviously nice that Swift attended this game for Travis Kelce. It added a fun element to the proceedings. Especially given that the Bears are terrible and the game itself was doomed to be a dud.
That being said, Swift was there for one game. And she probably won’t come back.

Brittany is at Chiefs games constantly. Week after week. She cheers the squad on through thick and thin.
If anyone deserves loyalty from the Kansas City fan base, it is definitely her.
Will Brittany continue to be the biggest star at Chiefs games going forward even if Swift is in attendance? Time will tell.
