Falcons, Cowboys Emerge As Legit Julio Jones Suitors

Falcons, Cowboys Emerge As Legit Julio Jones Suitors

Julio Jones came to the Tennessee Titans with a lot of hype last season.

The hope was that he would be able to recreate some of his Pro Bowl 2019 magic and lead the squad’s passing game to new heights.

Unfortunately, that didn’t end up happening. Jones was injured pretty much all season and appeared in just 10 outings.

Now as a free agent, all eyes are on Jones’ next move.

At the moment, the two frontrunners for Jones’ services appear to be the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys.

Jones is just a few seasons removed from that 2019 campaign where he amassed nearly 1,400 receiving yards. If he can get back to anywhere close to that level, he’d be a huge value-add for the Falcons or Cowboys.

In Atlanta’s case, this would mostly just be a nostalgia play. Jones has no real place on that young, developing team. But his prime years were spent with the Falcons so that will always be home.

Dallas makes a bit more sense. The Cowboys are on the verge of losing one offensive star, so shoring things up on that side of the ball certainly computes logically.

Dak Prescott (and his girlfriend) have been running wild all offseason, but now it’s time to get back to work. Jones, if healthy, could serve as a major stabilizing factor for the Cowboys’ passing attack.

Where will Jones end up when it’s all said and done?

Time will tell.
