Edmonton Oilers star Evander Kane fell victim to a scary injury this week during his squad’s victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

In what was clearly an accident, Evander had his wrist sliced by Pat Maroon’s skate:

In the aftermath, the Oilers announced that Evander would be sidelined three to four months as a result.

Most around the NHL felt a lot of sympathy for the 31-year-old given how scary of an injury he suffered. One person who some folks believed didn’t? His ex-wife, Anna.

Her provocative posts (maybe) on the matter were captured for posterity by eagle-eyed Twitter users:

Anna then took to social media to address the controversy:

Make of that what you will.

This isn’t the first time in recent months that Evander and Anna have found themselves linked together in the headlines. The pair was involved in a messy split, including a fake pregnancy scandal, that riveted the nation not long ago.

It was the second biggest gossip story in hockey for a long time, right after Connor McDavid’s suspicious photos leaking out.

Big picture, it seems like Evander is on the mend and on track to a good recovery.

As far Anna, she is off doing whatever it is she does nowadays.

Hopefully all parties involved can use this experience as a lesson and emerge from it as better and more mature individuals across the board.
