Eli Manning’s Text Message To Tom Brady After Super Bowl

Eli Manning’s Text Message To Tom Brady After Super Bowl

There are few people in the world who can say that they consistently got the better of Tom Brady on a championship level.

Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is one of those people.

And he did it twice.

As such, many wondered about his reaction to Brady leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl this past season.

Manning spoke with Madelyn Burke recently and revealed that he actually sent a special text message to Brady shortly after his title win.

“Yeah, I sent Tom a text, just congratulating him and really just saying how not surprised, but impressed with what he was able to do this year with Tampa,” Manning said.

“Changing teams, shortened season, lock out and pandemic and everything going on and to still learn a brand new offense and make those adjustments and go win a championship is pretty spectacular.”

The respect between Brady and Manning is very much mutual. When the latter retired this past year, Brady offered some very memorable parting words to his former rival.

Manning, meanwhile, had some strong thoughts on Brady’s original decision to leave the New England Patriots for the Bucs.

It’s clear these two have a good relationship, much like Brady and Peyton Manning, so it’s nice to see that they exchanged pleasantries after Tampa Bay’s impressive playoff run.
