Dustin Johnson has been the best golfer in the world for a while now. In 2020 he won the Masters, the Traveler’s Championship, and the Tour Championship – prompting epic twerking celebrations with his wife Paulina Gretzky each and every time. In the process, he was named the PGA Tour’s Player of the Year.
This week, Johnson looked to build on his growing momentum at the Saudi International European Tour event.
Unfortunately, the reason the 36-year-old went viral on Friday had nothing to do with his skills.
Rather, it had to do with him nearly murdering a man on his drive on the par 4 10th hole from 372 yards out.
“He’s just fine!” says the broadcast, as the man nailed by a Dustin Johnson drive hobbles in pain. pic.twitter.com/zZUglw9a9E

“I think it got him on the padding,” the Golf Channel broadcaster could be heard saying.
“He’s getting up quick. You can take away the pain but you can’t take away the swelling. He’s just fine.”
Now it all makes sense. https://t.co/bgKIaCE46a

The gentleman in question could be seen hobbling away and grabbing his back and right shoulder.
Fortunately, it seems like a serious injury was averted in this instance.
Perhaps if Johnson really wants to make it up to the aggrieved party, he could let him party with Gretzky – who is an absolute legend when it comes to that.
