David Beckham’s Valentine’s Day Gift To Kobe Bryant’s Family

David Beckham’s Valentine’s Day Gift To Kobe Bryant’s Family

David Beckham and Kobe Bryant are two Los Angeles sports legends. Although the latter obviously left a far greater impact on the city than the former, both hold a special place in the heart of fans for their contributions.

Because of that, it warmed the hearts of many to see Beckham taking the time for a truly special gesture this past Valentine’s Day.

In an effort to remind Kobe’s family how loved, remembered and respected they are, he sent them a special gift.

Kobe’s wife, Vanessa, revealed the act in a private Instagram story post this past week.

For obvious reasons, it immediately went viral.

In addition to sending several bouquets of beautiful roses, Beckham also sent Vanessa and her three daughters, Natalia, Bianka and Capri an incredibly heartfelt note.

“I hope I inspire my children just as much as your dad did,” he wrote.

“Thinking about you all today.”

Accompanying the note was one arrangement of pink flowers for each child.

Vanessa was obviously taken aback by the gesture.

“Thank you for sending flowers to @nataliabryant , Bianka and Capri,” she wrote.

Vanessa has been a rock for the Bryant family ever since the tragic helicopter crash that took the lives of Kobe and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

She has memorialized them with tribute outfits and tattoos, remained classy in the face of an uncomfortable feud with her mother, rescued Kobe’s fans from an apparent scam, and kept the NBA legend’s memory alive by ensuring that celebs like Kim Kardashian continue to keep him the public zeitgeist.

Vanessa and her daughters have obviously had a tremendously difficult year and change. They went through something that nobody should ever have to go through. And given that – it’s nice that Beckham took some time out of his undoubtedly busy schedule to make them feel special on what could have potentially been a very lonely day.
