Vanessa Bryant sent a very special gift to Kim Kardashian this past week.
On Monday, Kardashian revealed that she had received the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Grinch” sneakers, which don’t get released to the public until Christmas Eve.
The retail for these shoes is somewhere in the $130 to $180 range, but resale sites have inflated the shoes to as much as $1,700 or more.
Vanessa also sent a pair to Kardashian family matriarch, Kris Jenner.
As a result of everything the Bryant family has been through over the past 12 months, all anyone wants to see is that they are doing okay. A big reason why they’ve been able to overcome everything they have overcome this year is because of the support offered by friends.
This is Vanessa’s way of paying that support back.
Vanessa has been a model of stability for daughters Natalia, age 17, Bianka, age 4, and Capri, age 1, ever since Kobe’s tragic passing at the beginning of this year.
Back in late January, Kobe, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, baseball coach John Altobelli, five others, and the pilot died in a helicopter crash.
The accident shook the entire sports world to its core. Ultimately, the Lakers dedicated their championship-winning 2019-20 campaign to the Bryant family.

Over the course of their season, the Lakers honored Kobe all year with a “KB” patch on their jerseys and even had an alternate “Black Mamba” jersey set which they wore for several playoff games. They only suffered one defeat the ‘Black Mamba’ jerseys.
After the Lakers won their title, Vanessa came out and acknowledged how much she wished her husband had been around to see it.
“Congratulations Uncle P! Congratulations @lakers Kobe was right, RP! Stay the course – blockout the noise. Go Lakers! Wish Kobe and Gigi were here to see this,” she wrote.

Lakers GM Rob Pelinka, or “Uncle P” as Vanessa called him in that social media post, was one of Kobe’s closest friends and served as his agent during his playing days.
The Bryant family will always be thought of as Lakers royalty, no matter how much time goes by since Kobe’s untimely passing.
Because of that, when photos like the ones from this week’s holiday celebration go viral, it is great for everyone. After everything this strong family has been through, they deserve all the relief, positivity and happiness in the world.
