The winner of Alabama vs Michigan is clear, says one expert.
Coming into bowl season, most of the attention has obviously gone to the teams participating in the College Football Playoff. Clemson, Ohio State, LSU and Oklahoma have captured the majority of the headlines to date.
One other interesting game that is receiving a decent amount of fanfare is the looming showdown between Alabama and Michigan.
Alabama has been a mainstay in the National Title picture over the last few years. Michigan, meanwhile, has been viewed as a program on the verge of competing for a conference crown ever since Jim Harbaugh arrived.
Both teams underwhelmed a bit this year, but each will have the opportunity to now redeem the season in the Citrus Bowl.
Up until this point, Alabama and Michigan have only faced off on four occasions before. Each program has come away with two wins.
The last time they played, Alabama won the 2012 match-up 41-14.
Will history repeat itself this time around? Vegas certainly seems to think so.
Odds makers have installed Alabama as a seven-point favorite coming into this game.
According to Associated Press college football writer Ralph Russo, there is a good reason or this.
Russo is predicting that the Crimson Tide will win its showdown with the Wolverines, and will do so comfortably.
In Russo’s estimation, the final score will be Alabama 35 Michigan 17.
Will Harbaugh ultimately be able to shock the world and finish the year off strong? We’ll find out for certain come New Year’s Day.
