Scott Frost Loses Nebraska Star To Transfer
Scott Frost lost a Nebraska star to transfer this week.
On Wednesday, linebacker Pernell Jefferson announced that he was entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.
A former high school star, Jefferson earned Scout Team Defensive MVP honors this summer despite not playing a single regular season down for Nebraska.
Jefferson revealed his plan to move in a social media message.
In the post, he thanks the school and fans for all their support.

“I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal and attend another university in order to continue my athletic and educations career. GBR forever,” he wrote.
Jefferson was a three-star recruit from the 2016 class. Among outside linebackers, he ranked 64th in the country and was the 51st best prospect in the state of Louisiana.
With Jefferson’s departure, Nebraska is now left with just eight linebackers on scholarship next year.
An official announcement regarding where Jefferson will end up should come at some point in the next few days.
