Paul Finebaum Offers Surprising Take On Ohio State, LSU
Paul Finebaum offers a surprising take on Ohio State and LSU in a recent interview.
Coming into Sunday the big question was whether LSU or Ohio State would ultimately claim the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff.
When it was all said and done, the Tigers took the top spot.
On Monday, Finebaum appeared on the radio and attempted to rationalize why LSU captured the top spot.
“It’s an eye test. You’re sitting there, you’re watching LSU eviscerate Georgia with one of the best defenses in the country, and the other team [Ohio State] struggled,” Finebaum said.
“The point is who’s the best team in the country and even though it’s gone back and forth for eight weeks, LSU’s the best team in the country. Anyone who thinks they’re not can take a seat. You’ll have five or six weeks to prove that you were right.”
Next up for LSU will be Oklahoma the Peach Bowl. Ohio State, meanwhile, will meet defending champ Clemson in a battle between the No. 2 and 3 seeds.
