LSU simply got lucky against Alabama, says ESPN.
This weekend the Tigers shocked many in the college football world when they defeated Alabama 46-41.
Although the final score would indicate a close game, the reality is that LSU never looked to be in trouble during any portion of Saturday’s proceedings.
At one point, LSU took a 33-13 lead into halftime.
It was a thoroughly dominant effort and rightfully earned them the title of best team in the country from most critics.
Unfortunately, not everyone was impressed.

According to ESPN insider Stephen A. Smith, LSU simply got lucky versus Alabama.
“They lucky,” Smith said.
“Let me explain. First of all, I want to start out on the right foot – I wanna give LSU props from the standpoint that, Alabama’s defense couldn’t stop them.
“They couldn’t stop [Joe] Burrow … But I’m gonna say this – Tua [Tagovailoa], you open the drive, no one touches you and you just lose the ball.”
While LSU certainly benefited in some capacity from mental mistakes by Alabama, the same is true from every winner of every game in every sport.
At the end of the day LSU deserved that win – and it is laughable that ESPN would try to take it away from them.
