Texas Cheerleader’s Wild Photos Cause A Stir After Rice Win

A Texas cheerleader’s wild photos caused something of a stir this week after the Longhorns’ big win against Rice.

Coming into this year, obviously Steve Sarkisian and Co. have a lot to prove. This is a College Football Playoff or bust season.

Throughout the first two quarters of action against Rice, Texas didn’t seem overly impressive. They took a 16-3 lead into halftime, but it wasn’t until the second half that the Longhorns really ran away with the proceedings.

Perhaps because of how lackluster the team looked in the first half, fans at home became preoccupied with one particular Longhorns cheerleader.

It didn’t take long for that Texas cheerleader’s wild photos to cause a major stir.

This has been a busy few days for college football dancers. Between the LSU cheerleader whose personal photos went viral on Sunday and the Colorado cheerleaders whose private pictures set the internet ablaze on Saturday, it has been one thing after another on that front.

Cheerleading aside, though – all eyes will be on how the Longhorns move forward. TCU’s loss opens up a path to a Big 12 title. And if that occurs, a College Football Playoff slot would be within reach.

But Texas will need a lot more out of quarterback Quinn Ewers as the season progresses. Yes, you can beat the likes of Rice despite missing all your downfield shots, but that way of playing won’t work against better competition.

Ewers still played an efficient game. There is no denying that. He recorded 260 yards on 19-of-30 passing and four total scores. But being able to place the deep ball is necessary to keeping opposing defenses honest. And that will be come increasingly important as the season goes on.

On the bright side, Texas’ defense looked like a force. They allowed Rice a mere 176 yards of offense and 27 yards rushing. If the Longhorns can play like that going forward, they’re going to give opposing offenses a lot of problems.

All in all, Week 1 of action wasn’t super telling regarding where the Longhorns are headed in 2023. Next week’s battle versus Alabama will answer a lot of questions.

What version of this Texas squad will ultimately show up next week? Time will tell, but no matter what, the team’s cheerleaders will be there rooting them on every step of the way.
