Alabama Cheerleaders’ Explicit Gesture Goes Viral After Michigan Loss
An explicit gesture by the Alabama cheerleaders went viral this week after the team’s unfortunate loss to Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
Obviously the big story after this outing was Nick Saban’s questionable play-calling at the end of the game. Many felt like the Crimson Tide had a legitimate shot at pulling off the upset, only for it be squandered by some iffy decision-making.
That said, the game itself wasn’t the only thing folks at home were left talking about.
The Alabama cheerleaders also left something of an impression:

In a sports week that saw Danica Patrick bring in the new year with her girlfriend, Sam Ponder’s provocative outfit cause a stir, and Brittany Mahomes’ crazy party pictures go viral, it would take a lot to steal the spotlight. But Alabama’s cheerleaders did precisely that.
Fan reactions were largely what one would expect:

At the end of the day, Saban and Co. proved that Georgia probably should have gotten the nod over them for the College Football Playoff.
One blip on the record aside, the Bulldogs were a more dominant team all year long.
