Colin Cowherd Says Winner Of LSU vs Florida Is Obvious

Colin Cowherd says the winner of LSU vs Florida is obvious, and doesn’t expect to be proven wrong this Saturday.

According to Cowherd, the No. 7 ranked Gators will not be able to play as well as they did last weekend in their 24-13 victory over Auburn.

Although a lot of people came out of that outing feeling really positively about Florida’s chances versus the rest of the SEC, Cowherd says it was more of an aberration than anything else.

Cowherd believes that No. 5 ranked LSU will get the job done against their in-conference rivals this weekend.

“This may be my favorite college pick of the year,” he said. “I’ll take LSU to blow out Florida.

“It’s LSU -13. This is easy stuff. They may be the best offense in the country this year.

“They’re first in everything. Points, yards, passing, third down percentage,” he continued.

“They’re 5-1 in their last six against top 10 teams, only lost to ‘Bama, so they’re a good big game team.”

Cowherd thinks that LSU quarterback Joe Burrow will be the primary difference maker in this game.

“And Joe Burrow’s been very good for them, the former Ohio State backup,” he said.

“He had his worst game of his career last year in the loss to Florida.

“He was awful, 9-for-34. This year Burrow’s been remarkable.

“He’s was a backup at Ohio State. He’s a Heisman favorite right now. First in completion percentage, first in passing yards.”

Cowherd also believes that the Auburn victory may actually end up working against Florida.

“The Gators just came off a huge upset win against Auburn,” he suggested.

“It’s very hard to get 19 and 20-year olds to get to that emotional level back-to-back weeks.

“I don’t think Florida can do it, I think LSU blows ’em out, 40-21.”
