Alabama Is Delusional, Says Fox Sports

Alabama is delusional, says Fox Sports.

Watching the sports media do a complete 180 on how they regard the Crimson Tide has been bewildering to watch.

Over the past few years it seemed like Nick Saban and Co. could do no wrong in the eyes of ESPN and Fox Sports. And then suddenly, without warning, everything changed.

In the leadup to Alabama’s game versus LSU, you began to hear people picking away at the strength of the Crimson Tide’s schedule.

After the LSU game, people began to openly wonder if the Saban Dynasty was over.

And then when Tua Tagovailoa got hurt, the gloves really came off.

This week, Fox Sports analyst Danny Kanell came out with some really strong words against Alabama fans. He said the group was “delusional” if they believe they still have a path to the postseason.

“The Pac-12 has been left out the past couple of years,” he said.

“Alabama has been given the benefit of the doubt multiple times. As a non-conference champ they got in and won the national championship.

“Without Tua this is the year to get away with it. You can make a strong stance by saying ‘Conference championships matter and that was the 13th game that Alabama didn’t get to play, so we’re going to give it to Oregon.’

“Ultimately, I think Alabama fans that think they’re in a good spot at five are a little bit delusional because I think the Pac-12 is in a better spot.”

Can Alabama still get into the College Football Playoff despite all odds seemingly being against them now?

We’ll find out within the next couple of weeks.
