College Football World Reacts To Utah Cheerleader Video

Utah fell to Penn State in the Rose Bowl this past week 35-21.

It was an uncharacteristically bad performance for the Utes, given that although they constantly seemed to be in USC’s shadow in 2022, they were always quite clearly the best team in the Pac-12.

Nevertheless, not everyone representing Utah failed to show up on Monday. Some members of the program came in and impressed.

Case in point: the cheerleading squad.

One member in particular really captured the hearts of the nation, eliciting a number of positive responses from the college football-watching world.

College football fans all tend to be painted with the same broad brush, but replies to the video proved that those impressions are incorrect.

Earlier in the year a Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader’s photos caused something of a stir. Then there was the Las Vegas Raiders dancer whose pictures blew up online. And then of course there was that cheerleader fight that stole the show on a college football Saturday.

All of which is to say – 2022 proved to be a crazy year for cheerleaders.

By all accounts, 2023 is shaping up in much of the same way.

Utah didn’t get the outcome they wanted at the Rose Bowl, but the future is still bright for the program. Freshman Sione Vaki is a star to watch. Ditto for quarterback-turned-running back Ja’Quinden Jackson.

The Utes have a lot to be excited about next season, and their viral cheerleading squad is just icing on the cake.
