Colin Cowherd Has Message For Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa

Colin Cowherd has a message for Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa.

That message? Turn pro, don’t go back to school.

One of the biggest storylines in college football right now is Tagovailoa’s status.

Coming into the 2019 season he was seen as a guaranteed top-tier pick. Unfortunately, a brutal hip injury ended his season and suddenly through his status as a top-five selection into question.

With his high draft status in doubt, Tagovailoa began contemplating returning to Alabama in 2020 and re-proving himself to NFL franchises.

In Cowherd’s opinion, that would be a bad move.

“Tua has proven he’s an NFL ready QB,” he tweeted out.

“A top 10 NFL pick. You go pro. Especially w his durability issues.

“The SEC defenses shouldn’t get another year 2 pound him. Plus, it’s a poor look for Saban if he returns & gets hurt. Mr uber recruiter sways him out of generational [$].”

Tagovailoa announced on social media this week that he would make a final decision on his future on January 6.

Up to this point, the young star has not tipped his hand on which direction he is leaning in.

While Tagovailoa has pledged to make his decision next week, he officially has until January 20 to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.

  1. Mr. Cowherd, what specifically do you have against Saban? I have heard you on the radio and read many comments from you about Saban and the Alabama football team in general. They are mostly negative. One specially made in the Alabama/Auburn football game after Bulovas missed the field goal was that he was no good and should go ahead and kill himself! Mr. Cowherd, you DON’T EVER EVER SAY ANYTHING LIKE THAT TO ANYONE! Who do you think you are to advise on suicide? You have called Saban Mr. ? Recruiter in a very negative way. Why shouldn’t he try to recruit just as all football team’s do-try to get the best in their opinion to play at their universities! If you can’t be objective as a reporter supposedly going with the facts, you should get out of the job. Treat everyone the same way they deserve! Lynn Hudgins

    1. I am an auburn fan but I wholeheartedly agree! Unbiased should be a given. AND that goes for ALL MEDIA!!! When did this happen to our newspaper, radio and television personality? They are mostly downright mean if you don’t agree with their opinion. Sad sad sad.

    2. Did he really tell someone to kill themselves over a football game??? If so, he’s a 1st Class @§§hole and someone needs to slap some sense into his stupid @§§! I’ve never even heard of the guy? “Cowherd”? That’s a Real last name? Does he own a dairy farm or something? He sounds retarded.
