Eagles Get Star Back Ahead Of Seahawks Game

The Eagles got a star back ahead of the Seahawks game.

Both Philadelphia and Seattle have gotten absolutely ravaged by injuries this year.

In some ways, the opening round playoff game between these two teams is a test of resilience. Who can persevere and overcome the constant health issues?

While the Eagles are still waiting to see whether Zach Ertz will be ready to go, they got one piece of good news on Friday: rookie tailback Miles Sanders will suit up this weekend.

According to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, Sanders has been cleared to play Sunday.

Sanders, a former Penn State standout, suffered an ankle injury in Philly’s victory over the New York Giants last week.

There were some questions regarding whether he would participate in this week’s game, but Sanders apparently is refusing to sit out.

Despite not practicing Wednesday or Thursday of this week, Sanders pledges to be ready to roll by the time game time comes around.

Sanders finished his regular season rookie campaign with 1,327 scrimmage yards and six scores. If Ertz is ultimately unable to go, he will need to step up and shoulder more of the offensive load for Carson Wentz.

A final decision regarding Ertz will likely be made closer to game time.

The Seahawks and Eagles will kick off from Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday at 7:40 p.m. PST.
