Cleveland Cavaliers’ Rivals Now Interested In Collin Sexton

Collin Sexton’s time with the Cleveland Cavaliers has been filled with a lot of ups and downs.

Despite being an undeniably stellar talent, Sexton rubbed teammates the wrong way and frequently found himself at the center of trade talks. His inability to work out a long-term deal with the Cavaliers also doesn’t speak well to his future prospects with the franchise.

Heck, he was somehow the main piece blamed for the Cavaliers not making the playoffs this year despite not having actually played a game in months.

It feels like Sexton is on his way out. But where to?

According to Chris Fedor of cleveland.com, the Detroit Pistons are a team to watch in the Collin Sexton Sweepstakes.

“While multiple sources identified the Detroit Pistons as a potential Sexton suitor — one of the few teams with cap space and a jumbo backcourt partner (Cade Cunningham) that can mask some of the size limitations — will any opposing team make a compelling enough offer sheet the Cavs would be unwilling to match?

“Remember, this is a guy who hasn’t played since November. Is any team offering him upwards of $20 million annually — a dollar figure sources say he could be seeking?”

The Pistons would certainly be an intriguing option. Detroit currently has a lot of promising young talent and Sexton could prove to be the cherry on top.

Where will Sexton ultimately be playing come this time next year?

Time will tell.
