Is Bob Stoops going to coach USC or FSU?

Although Bob Stoops has been out of the college football coaching game for a few years now, he is still frequently mentioned as a candidate for openings.

Most recently, this year, his name was floated for the vacancy at Florida State and then the looming vacancy at USC.

While Stoops has primarily kept himself occupied talking about the XFL as of late, he did take a little time out during a recent interview to discuss possibly returning to the college game.

“Well you never know what the Lord is going to bring ya,” he said on ESPN Central Texas.

“Everybody wants you to define your life at every age. At 50, they wanted me to know what I was going to do the rest of my life.

“And at 55, and now at 59, everyone thinks you gotta…ya know, who knows what I’ll be doing next year or the year after. You don’t know what you’re going to be doing next year. And the good Lord is the only one who knows.

“We’ll see where things end up for me.”

Will Stoops actually return to coaching at the college level? Time will tell.
