Coach O Responds To ESPN’s LSU vs Ohio State Prediction

Coach O responded to ESPN’s LSU vs Ohio State prediction in a recent interview.

Earlier this week, ESPN college football insider Paul Finebaum noted that between the Tigers and Buckeyes, he would take the latter squad in a head-to-head match-up.

“I’m going to surprise some people right now by saying I think Ohio State might beat LSU,” Finebaum said on First Take.

“It would be a neutral-site game, but to me, if you look at LSU, as great as that win was the other day, they’ve had a couple of narrow wins.

“I mean, they beat Auburn by 3 at home. They had a heavyweight fight vs. Florida. It went back and forth and back and forth before they finally won by 2 scores.

“They also had a narrow win against Texas, which isn’t a great team. (Texas is) barely a good team. Ohio State is just shredding teams. They have eviscerated teams. Right now, I would favor Ohio State in that game.”

On Thursday, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron appeared on First Take and was asked to respond to Finebaum’s prediction.

“We’re focused on beating Ole Miss,” he said. “I’m not thinking that far ahead.”

LSU will attempt to keep the momentum from last week going when they square off against Mississippi this Saturday.
