Baker Mayfield’s status with the Carolina Panthers is very questionable right now, but that hasn’t stopped his wife Emily from making headlines.

After initially going down with an ankle injury after a series of unimpressive games, Baker was shelved for former XFL quarterback P.J. Walker.

This week, Carolina announced that Walker would continue to start even though Baker is apparently healthy enough to do so.

Speaking to the media recently, interim Panthers coach Steve Wilks suggested that Baker was now taking Scout Team reps. Yikes.

It’s not all bad news for the Mayfields, though. Although her husband wasn’t available to play for the Panthers as of late, Emily has been bringing the heat anyway with her outfit choices.

Case in point, this ode to her beau:

This isn’t the first time in recent weeks Emily has blown up in this fashion. Between her wild photos from the last outing she attended and provocative choice of wardrobe the week before that, she has been something of a mainstay in the news cycle.

In addition to that all, there are also just her general Instagram posts – which never fail to impress.

Big picture, Baker has obviously been awful this season. He is 1-4 in five games as a starter, has racked up four picks already and is completing 54 percent of his passes. That’s not great.

Emily, though – she has been thriving. Between her racy Halloween attire decisions and that awful leaked DMs humiliation Baker somehow got himself into, she has been in the news cycle nonstop. And she handles the attention like a champ.

Time will tell where Baker’s career goes from here.

It has certainly seen better days.

Fortunately, he can always lean on Emily for support – as she has been there for him every step of the way.
