Baker Mayfield’s wife, Emily, showed off the gift she received from the Tampa Buccaneers quarterback this week.
To say that the Mayfield Clan has had a busy year would be a massive understatement.
Last season Baker set out to restore some semblance of respectability to his career after the Cleveland Browns dealt him to the Carolina Panthers. He failed. From there, he briefly joined the Los Angeles Rams where he was similarly unimpressive.
Just when all hope seemed lost this offseason, the Bucs decided to sign him to a one-year deal with the goal of plugging the hole left behind by Tom Brady.
Through all of Baker’s trials and tribulations, one person who has been by his side has been Emily. As such, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone that he rewarded her with a special gift this week.
Big picture, if it feels like Baker and Emily have been in the headlines nonstop as of late, it is because they definitely have been. Between her provocative workout photos, their wild date night pictures and her memorable Miami party imagery, it has been one thing after another with them.
Plus, in addition to all that, Emily has built up a very successful social media following for herself. So any time she posts pretty much anything nowadays, it immediately causes a stir.

Does Emily’s level of celebrity rise to that of someone like, say, Kliff Kingsbury’s girlfriend? Probably not. There is a reason why the latter’s wild hotel room photos nearly melted the internet this week.

This is going to be a big year for Baker. He has a lot of weapons at his disposal in Tampa Bay. Everything is aligned perfectly for him to return to his old collegiate-level top form and remind fans why he was once such a respected quarterback.
But this is also going to be his last chance.
If Baker can’t thrive with the Bucs, he likely won’t get any more chances at starting quarterback positions going forward. No matter how things ultimately shake out, Emily will undoubtedly be there supporting him every step of the way.
