Allen Iverson is one of the greatest NBA players of all time. He changed not only the way basketball was played, but also the culture surrounding it.
Because of Iverson’s unique legacy and impact on the sport, he is in something of rarified air.
His perspective and analysis of hoops both past and present carries a lot of weight.
This week, Iverson appeared on the Geto Boys Reloaded Podcast and offered his thoughts on the five greatest NBA players of all time.
Allen Iverson’s Top 5 Players of All-Time:
1. Michael Jordan
2. Kobe Bryant
3. LeBron James
4. Stephen Curry
5. Shaquille O’Neal

It’s hard to argue with anyone on that list. Jordan’s placement is self-explanatory.
O’Neal and Bryant are two guys Iverson faced off against in the 2001 NBA Finals and was extremely familiar with. They won three titles when he was in his prime. It makes sense that they’d leave a lasting impression.
James is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and arguably the best of his generation.
And Curry, much like Iverson, is viewed as a figure who completely altered the way basketball was played. Suddenly, little guys could make a massive impact, too.
Whether he’s offering harsh advice to the Philadelphia 76ers, settling the MJ vs LeBron debate once and for all, naming five modern-day killers in today’s NBA or acknowledging the two players that gave him the most problems during his career – Iverson always keeps it real.
Now that’s how you celebrate a honeymoon. https://t.co/E9GHpGnCqE

This was just the latest example of that.
What nuggets will Iverson drop in the future?
Time will tell.
